How a Mom of Two Already Dropped 34 Pounds and Keeps Losing Weight Doing Keto the Right Way
How I managed to drop over 34 pounds in a short time with Keto.

That mom of two is me. Having already lost 34 pounds from my heaviest weight, I’m determined to keep going.
I’m confident I can reach my pre-pregnancy weight again, even at 49!
Looking back, it’s astonishing that I was skeptical about this way of eating for so long.
I initially thought keto worked for weight loss only because it reduced food intake and eliminated sweets from the diet.
However, I later learned that keto can actually activate the “fat-burning switch.” Despite this, my first attempt wasn’t successful.
If you’re struggling to sustain this way of eating or haven’t been able to lose weight with it, you might be making the same mistake I did.
Let me explain.
But first, I want to share how I went from being slim to gaining over 50 pounds and what prompted me to change.
I had always maintained a weight of around 130 pounds without much effort.
My first challenge came during pregnancy.
I gained around 40 pounds but eventually returned to 135.
However, after my second baby, I lost control of my weight again.
I gained over 40 pounds, but this time, losing it wasn’t as easy.
Even though I occasionally lost weight with restrictive diets, entering perimenopause in my early 40s left me stuck.
Not only could I no longer reach my pre-pregnancy weight, but I also continued to gain weight steadily.
By the age of 48, I weighed significantly more than I did at 9 months pregnant.
Looking in the mirror, I couldn’t recognize myself anymore.
All of a sudden, I started having all these weight-related health issues.
I realized that if I wanted to be around to see my kids grow up, I needed to do something.
And do that something FAST.
I always thought keto was a fad, but here’s what made me change my mind
I’ve known about keto for at least a decade but never considered trying it.
Maybe it was because I thought that eating grains and fruits was necessary for a healthy metabolism.
While going into “restriction” was supposed to slow it down.
Or perhaps it was because I thought that besides “eating fewer calories”, keto had no other benefit for weight loss.
Which is why I didn’t expect it to work any better than all the other diets I tried before.
And just recently, I discovered that either way, I was wrong.
It’s because, first of all, scientists now say that eating starch-heavy and high in sugar (yes, even fruits) foods can actually slow down metabolism.
While keto was found to boost it.
Now, I’m no scientist, but as I understand, it does that through three hormones: insulin, human growth hormone, and norepinephrine.
This means keto is not just about the ease of maintaining a calorie deficit.
It can also help the body enter a fat-burning state and burn calories way faster than any other approach.
Once I discovered all that, I started keto on my own, but it didn’t work as I expected
As I said, it has already helped me lose 37 pounds, and my weight continues to go down.
But my first try at keto completely flopped.
It’s because I read some articles and studies, and I thought I already knew everything I needed.
When, in fact, I knew nothing about how to manage hunger, how much I should eat, how my meal was supposed to look, what breaks keto and what doesn’t…
So, it’s no surprise that I felt foggy and dizzy all the time at first..
And to be honest, I couldn’t sustain more than a few days without feeling unbearable hunger and the urge to eat.
Even worse, my meals were not balanced and I had no idea how to get that perfect ratio of protein, carbs and fats.
Which would leave me sleepy and tired most of the days. Angry for no reason, too.
So, no energy, anger, and no weight loss!
Which left me wondering, what was I doing wrong?
Oversimplifying keto was my mistake, and that’s why I didn’t lose any weight I mistakenly thought that keto was just about eating eggs and no carbs all day.
But it’s not that simple (and not that restrictive, too) So, how have I managed to lose 37 pounds, then?
You see, keto is a powerful way to lose weight when done right.
And after I failed the first time, I wanted to see how others did it.
As I scrolled through the success stories, I noticed that people were doing ‘lazy keto’, full carnivore, the Lion diet…
And other types of keto, which I hadn’t heard of before.
Meaning that there was no single best way to do it.
But how did they know which one to choose or how to balance keto correctly?
And most importantly, how did I know if keto was going to work for me?
To find that out, I utilized the tool that others who succeeded with keto used, too.
With the right guidance, I started losing weight right away and continue losing it to this day
Thankfully, I didn’t have to read countless books on keto or try each type to find out what works for me.
Instead, I used the tool I just mentioned, called KetoCycle.
All I had to do was take a free quiz, which took me around 2-3 minutes to complete.
Based on my answers, I got a forecast of how long it could take to reach my weight loss goal with the guidance of KetoCycle.
So, I started all over again, but now with a daily balanced detailed keto meal plan.
And this time, I didn’t experience hunger (and therefore anger), or fatigue.
It’s because KetoCycle gave me answers to everything I needed to know – what to eat to never be hungry, what carbs and how much I can have (turns out I can still have my morning sandwich without any guilt!) …
I even got access to countless delicious meal recipes and an activity plan, all tailored to me.
And now, 37 pounds lighter, I know I probably couldn’t have achieved this without the Keto Cycle’s guidance.
Or, it would have taken much longer to make keto work for me.
So, for anyone considering it or those who have already tried it but didn’t succeed, Keto Cycle might be exactly what you need!
