Of course, probiotics are my number one and super important. I don't think I need to explain how important a balanced microbiome and good gut bacteria are for your general gut health.
However, caution is advised when choosing a probiotic supplement. Not every product contains what it promises or has good ingredients. My top brand here is Yourbiology (worldwide shipping also within Germany).
I don't really have a brand that I can particularly recommend, as they are all very good. The taste is really mean, but bitter herbs are essential for me. There used to be a lot more bitter compounds in our food back in the days and now there are far fewer. Some brands I like is Bitterliebe and Innonature.
My digestion is addicted to this Colon Broom! Of course I could just buy psyllium husks but even those are not cheap in organic quality. And I love to make myself this drink every morning (strawberry flavor). Once you start to notice the benefits of psyllium husk in your digestion, there's no going back haha. If you know you know. Of course you can also buy normal psyllium husks in organic quality, e.g. from Achterhof or in the drugstore.
Hopefully everyone knows by now that greens should be a healthy and a valuable part of our diet. The best intake of greens is certainly FRESH, e.g. in the form of fruit and vegetables. However, as I don't always have time to eat the amount that would be best for me every day, I decided to supplement greens 3 years ago. Best decision ever! There are many brands that are really good, but I like the taste of AG1 (Athletic Greens) the most. Also AG1 is unique for its 75 high-quality ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, probiotics, prebiotics, and adaptogens... you basically get everything in one.
I think Brottrunk is mainly known in Germany. But I love it. The taste is ... lets say you have to get used to it:) I usually drink it diluted with water and lots of ice. The ingredients are very convincing: Brottrunk consists of fermented wholemeal bread extract and is rich in lactic acid bacteria, vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
Ok, the last point is the Black Seed Oil. I haven't actually been taking it that long and mainly started taking it because of my acne. I'm really happy with the results BUT I don't take it every day as it makes me sick easily and I have to burp all the time haha, which of course is unpleasant. You can do your own research on how effective good Black Seed Oil is but remember it should be organic, raw food quality, unfiltered and cold pressed. I use the one from Kräuterland but there are many good suppliers on Amazon etc. Side note: I have also taken the capsules but found them not as effective as a tablespoon of the unfiltered pure oil!
